Baltimore Wharf, Canary Wharf, London

Design House have been appointed by international investment and property development company Ballymore to create tailormade kitchens for the penthouses and super-penthouses at Baltimore Wharf, the prestigious new development at Canary Wharf, where work is due to commence on London’s next architectural landmark – Skidmore, Owings and Merrill’s 150m twisting tower of glass and steel .

Poggenpohl’s sleek styling is perfect for this high-end contemporary environment and Design House has put together an exciting range of designs with integrated Gaggenau appliances to appeal to a sophisticated market.

Ladycastle at the K Club, Co Kildare, Ireland

Luxury 5 star golf resort the K Club in County Kildare will be forever a symbol of Ireland after hosting a memorable Ryder Cup in 2006. Nestling in its own private grounds within the K Club estate, Ladycastle is a discrete development of exclusive houses and apartments designed by Brian O’Halloran Architects for Menolly Homes.

Design House worked with interior designer Suzanne Garuda at Ladycastle to create two different kitchen designs for the whole development – classic Living Kitchens of bespoke hand-crafted and hand-painted oak units with Italian marble worktops and striking Poggenpohl contemporary kitchens in red lacquer. Both kitchen designs benefited from integrated Gaggenau appliances.

Killeen Castle, Co Meath, Ireland

Killeen Castle was the location for the 2011 Solheim Cup. The Castlethorn Construction development is set in the grounds of one of Ireland’s finest 12th century Norman castles. Its 600 acre estate boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and a fine collection of luxury houses and apartments designed by Brazil Lohan Architects which nestle in a tranquil wooded setting.

Design House worked with interior designer Suzanne Garuda at Killeen Castle to create two contrasting kitchen designs for the show houses – bespoke Living Kitchens incorporating Wolf cookers and Sub-Zero appliances and Poggenpohl Segmento kitchens with Miele appliances.

The Elysian, Cork, Ireland

The Elysian is a landmark development for the city of Cork, incorporating a spectacular luxury apartment residence with a 17 storey glazed tower that is Ireland’s tallest building. Developed by O’Flynn Construction and designed by Wilson Architecture, The Elysian also features an acre of landscaped Japanese gardens by the designer Martin Hallinan, complete with waterfalls and carefully manicured lawns.

From the one bedroom apartments to the luxury super penthouses, the emphasis is on space and luxury – unusually high ceilings and a generously high spec. In response to this brief, Design House created an exceptional Porsche Design kitchen for the super penthouses and a sleek, linear Poggenpohl kitchen with integrated appliances for all others in the tower.
